Fews last week i read some documents on internet about the rule of thirds. According to the what i read, the rule of thirds is a compositional rule of thumb in photography, or other visual arts like design and painting. Classically, the rule of thirds states that an image can be devided by two imaginary line horizontal and two imaginary line vertical, wich each line devide the image layer in to nine equal spaces with four intersection spot.

The four intersection spot, can used to aligning features in the photograph. Some proponents of this technique believe that aligning the featur around the intersection spot can give more tension and interest in the photograph then simply centering the feature would.

I snap the picture above few days ago in bukit pakar dago, with this picture i try to appliying the rule of thirds. A line horizontal aligning the grass area and another horizontal line aligning the sky line.

In next source, says that the rule of thirds can modified in to variant. the images not only devided into nine equal spaces, but also can be devided into unequal nine spaces, such as the pictures below.
